Edward Francis Stevens

Edward Francis Stevens, 84, died peacefully on Monday morning with his daughter Christina by his side. Born in Bayside, Queens, New York City he was the son of the late M. A. Stevens and the late Hedwig (Jara) Stevens. He was predeceased by his wife Joanna Marie Stevens (nee Paolini). They married in 1959. He attended the De La Salle Institute in Manhattan and received his BBA from Manhattan College, NY in 1955. He was a gifted pianist and played his first recital at Carnegie Hall at age 15. He was a Veteran of the US Army, a retired Bethlehem Steel administrator (in charge of plant and office security), and a member of the Bethlehem Club and the Bethlehem Elks Lodge for many years. He was appointed by the late Bishop Joseph McShea as the Northampton County Chairman for the Catholic Charities Appeal 1969-1972. Predeceased by his brother William Stevens.

Survivors: Edward will be fondly remembered by his sisters Margaret and her husband Vincent DiPace of Port Chester, New York, Dorothy Stevens and her husband Nick DeJesu of Bayville, New York, and Agnes and her husband Robert Sanders, of Greenvale, New York; Daughters, Karen Marie Stevens of Nashville, TN, Janet Ann Stevens of Bethlehem, PA and Christina Louise and her husband Milan Slak of Allentown, PA; sons Mark Andrew and his wife Jennifer Stevens of Peoria, AZ and Robert Michael and his wife Donna Stevens of Venice, FL; grandchildren, Jillian, Jayden and Christian Stevens, Rachel Stevens, Alena and Gabriella Slak, Andrew, Amber and Heather Golley, and Jason and Greg Hood.
