Josephine B. Merlo, 94, of Cedarbrook passed away August 6. Born in Lithuania, she was a daughter of the late John and Michaelina (Bender) Berteska. For a time she manufactured purses for the Revlon company, she also loved going to flea markets and enjoyed food, especially her sweets, but most of all loved being a grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her.
 
She is survived by her daughters Diana Clouse of Breinigsville, Rosanne Smith of Florida and Joanne Hardyman of South Carolina; her grandchildren Jay, Jenni, Kara, Teri, Jimmy and Jacob; and a new great-granddaughter, Hazel.
 
Services are private; arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
