Choung Ja Hoover

Choung Ja Hoover, age 70, of Pottsville, died Aug. 19 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of Ray D. Hoover. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she was a daughter of the late Sung Moon Mun and Sun Nang Mun. She worked for many years at Craftex Mills in Auburn, Pa., as a weaving machine operator. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping for locally grown produce and tending to her beloved Saint Bernard, Ruby. An animal lover, she especially adored dogs.

 
Survivors: Her husband of nearly 35 years, Ray; daughter Michelle Y. Hoover of New York City; siblings  Song Cha Fritz of Pottsville, Choung Ae Yom of Reading, Hee Il Mun of Schuylkill Haven, and Choung Sook Ramsey of Willows, California; 5  nieces, 3 nephews, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Services will be private, arrangements are by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown, Pa.
