William R. Smith, 76, of Phoebe Allentown passed away March 27th at the Phoebe Home. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert W. Smith Jr. and Lovie M. (Turner) Smith. He worked in library science at different universities during his life. William was a 1966 graduate of Northwestern Lehigh High School, New Tripoli and a graduate of Georgetown University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
William is survived by his sisters Janice Smith of Catasauqua and Deborah Salvatore of New Tripoli and extended family.
Services: A graveside eco-friendly green burial will be private. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
