Michael J. Gaydos, 93, of Allentown passed away peacefully Monday, April 21st at Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Dolores J. (Nonnemaker) Gaydos and would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on April 23rd. Born in Allentown on September 27, 1931, he was a son of the late Joseph and Mary (Barna) Gaydos. He worked as a cutting room foreman in the garment industry and during semi retirement enjoyed working part-time at Heavenly Ham, Daniels Cadillac and as a valet at LVHN. Mike graduated from Allentown High School in 1949 and was an Army Veteran having served in Korea from 1951 to 1954.
He is survived by his wife Dolores; daughters Selena Simons and husband Scott of Allentown and Celeste Gaydos; a sister Elaine Burns of Allentown; his grandchildren Benjamin Sweeney and wife Allison of Nazareth, PA and Evan Sweeney & companion Sonia Lee of Needham, MA; great grandchildren Luke and Liam along with extended family.
