Bonita M. Wickline, 76, of Allentown passed on September 11th at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest while surrounded by family. Born on November 29,1948 in Cornwall, New York, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Lewis) Laddick. She lived in the Cornwall NY area until 1979 then in the Patchogue NY area on Long Island until 1993 and has been in the Northampton and Walnutport PA area till now. She was a homemaker most of her life but worked for a time as a teacher’s assistant with special needs children and as a bus driver. Her passion for cooking and cake decorating gave her much joy to create and even much more to see her family and friends enjoying her creations during their special occasions. We all know how talented our mom was but her ability to paint on any surface from canvas, ceramics, etc and even on gourds to create images that had such great depth and realism that would make you feel them. She could paint eyes that appeared as though they were looking into yours, straight down to your soul. Many of us are so very fortunate to have some of these items that she created as a wonderful memory of her forever! These are truly gifts to be cherished!
She is mother to and survived by her daughter Kelly Wickline; sons Scott and Mark Wickline; her grandchildren Alyssa, Adam, Jennica, Kyle and his wife Katie; her great grandchildren Jackson and Luke along with extended family. She was predeceased by her brother Norman and former husband Danton.
We would like to thank everyone for all of their thoughts, prayers and understanding at this difficult time!
At this moment there are no services scheduled but the family may have a celebration of life at a later date. If you would like to be a part of that please reach out to Kelly (570)856-5636 or Scott (631)972-4995 so that we can notify you of our plans.
