Jesus Ramos Sr.

Jesus Ramos Sr., of Allentown, passed away Feb. 27 in his home with his family. Born in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Florencio and Antonia (Quinones) Ramos. He was one of the first Hispanic members at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Allentown, was a past president and one of the founding pioneers of Hogar Crea, and active at Casa Guadalupe, where the Jesus Ramos Senior Center was named after him.
He was a very active member of the local Hispanic Political Caucus and the Allentown community, and will be greatly missed.
Mr. Ramos retired after more then 30 years as supervisor at Grief Companies.
He is survivied by his children Carmen Rosa, Jesus Jr., Carmen Gloria, Maria, Elena, Jenny, Anita, and Linda; 23 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grand children. He was predeceased by his son, Robert Ramos, and his beloved wife of 59 years, Carmen Santiago Ramos.
