Dr. James G. Kot

Dr. James G. Kot, PhD., 67, of Lower Saucon Twp., passed away April 12 at his home. He was the husband of Jane (Quinn) Kot for over 20 years. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Andrew and Emma Kot.

He dedicated his life to those that no one else cared about. He worked with adults, teens and children that struggled with mental and physical disabilities and specialized in addiction counseling. He loved everyone and made sure that you knew it and he would want you to know "If nobody told you they love you today, I would like to be the first".

Survivors: wife Jane; son Brion Kot; daughters Kristin Schlegel, Lauren Kot and Jessica Smith; a brother Billy; sisters Cassie, Angie, Pat and Mary; grandchildren Savannah, Logan, Braeden, Kyle, Jason and Brianna. He was predeceased by a sister, Emma.

Services: memorial service Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00am at the Jednota Club, 1223 Fifth St., N. Catasauqua.  Another memorial service at Thursday, April 21st at 10:00am at Alternative Counseling Association, 438-440 E. High Street, Pottstown. Arrangements are by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
