Jean Haver

Jean Haver, 87, of Philadelphia, passed away July 28 at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of Richard Sheridan Haver. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles Rosshirt and Anna Rosshirt / McAuley.  

Jean worked as a special education teacher for over 20 years. She was active in the theater most of her life as a choreographer for high schools, colleges and amateur theater, including Gwynned Mercy Academy, McDevitt High School and Villanova. She was a big supporter of the New York City Ballet and the Pennsylvania Ballet.

Survivors: husband Richard; daughter Barbara and her husband David Mentzer of Allentown, and a granddaughter Abigail Mentzer.
