Nicholas Makhoul

Nicholas Makhoul, 90, of Allentown passed away Dec. 23 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. He was born in Lebanon, son of the late Ibrahim and Rafca Makhoul. He came to America in 1977 and worked at Quaker Shoe Factory before retiring. He was a longtime member of St. George Orthodox Church and a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his family.

He is survived by his children Wadad, Siham, Jacob, Fadwa, Angel, Mahassin, Hanan and Violette; a sister Reda Barber; 20 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife and children Ibrahim and Najat.

Services: viewing Wednesday, Dec. 27 from 7-9 p.m. at St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown. Funeral service Thursday at 11:00 with viewing one hour prior in the church. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
