Ida J. Reed

Ida J. Reed, 86, of Whitehall got her wings Monday, January 15, 2018.  She was the wife of David D. Reed Sr., 86, of Whitehall.  They were married for 67 years.  She was the daughter of the late Florence (Dallago) and George Sterner.  Ida loved to cook and spend time with her family playing games, especially poker and bingo.  She and David could be found every morning at the Whitehall Diner.  Ida came from a large, loving family, including brothers, George, James, Paul, Leo, Charles and Frank, and sisters Evelyn, Alice and Martha.

Survivors:  Son, David D. Reed Jr. and his wife, Taunia of Virginia Beach, VA, Gina Donald of Forest Hill, MD, Pam Gower and her husband Bill of Auburn, PA, Lisa Curran and her husband Jerry of Whitehall, PA as well 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, including 1 expected in March.


Services:  A memorial gathering will be held at 12 PM with a celebration of life service to begin at 1 PM Saturday, January 20th at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Directions at www.allentownfunerals.com.
