Wadad N. Makhoul

Wadad Makhoul, 72, of Allentown passed away October 13th at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Muhlenberg. Born in Lebanon, she was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Rafca Makhoul. She worked at the Quaker Shoe Corporation in the 1980's.

Although she never had children of her own, she was a selfless person who chose to stay at home and help raise her brothers, sisters and later her nieces and nephews, seeing many of them get married. She will be deeply missed by all her family.

She is survived by her sister Siham Dib; brother Jacob Makhoul; sisters Fadwa Dergham, Angele Takla, Mahassin Elias, Hanan El-Khoury, and Violette Shamatta; as wll as many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews and extended family. She was predeceased by her sister and brother, Najat and Abraham Makhoul.

Services: viewing Saturday, October 17th starting at 12 noon at St. George Orthodox Church, 1011 Catasauqua Ave., Allentown with funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Burial following at Laurel Cemetery, Whitehall.
