Francis W. McClafferty, Jr.

Francis W. McClafferty, Jr., 91, of Allentown, passed away August 1st at Cedarbrook. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Francis McClafferty, Sr. and Alma (Pfeiffer) McClafferty.

The widower of Joan (Reinsmith) McClafferty, they celebrated 46 years of marriage before her passing in 1996.

Francis had a 30 year career with Mack Trucks, in high level management, running the stock department. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He was a faithful member of the Hamilton Park Christian Missionary Alliance Church, in Allentown, for many years.

Francis is survived by his two sons, Scott McClafferty (Debra) and Curtis McClafferty (Kelly);

son-in-law LaVerne Potter, husband of the late Joan S. (McClafferty) Potter; grandchildren Michelle Everett (Brian), Lisa Brunner (Todd), Dana Schlader (Josh), and Kristen; great grandchildren Dylan, Owin, Lexi, and Marley.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter Joan S. (McClafferty) Potter.

Private services were held yesterday, at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Allentown.
