Regina M. Nichols

Regina M. Nichols, 69, of Allentown passed away peacefully at her home on March 10th. She was the wife of Allan Nichols, they were soulmates for over 48 years. Born in Coaldale, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine Jakubco.

Regina (“Reggie”) was a graduate of Pottsville Hospital School of Nursing and was a registered nurse for 49 years, working mostly in ICU or CCU and later in pre-admission testing at LVHN. She was an absolutely dedicated old-fashioned nurse who cared about her patients and went out of her way to help them.

She is survived by her husband Allan Sr.; sons Allan Jr. and Erik of Allentown; sister Katherine Mary Opresko of Lancaster; a brother Joseph Jakubco of Tuscarora and sister Sheila Gasser of Hazleton. . She was predeceased by her sister Rosella Bulavage.

Services: viewing on Tuesday, March 15th from 7-9 p.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown.
