Ronald P. Bartz, 84, of Macungie passed away May 17th at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Sharon (Smith) Bartz for 59 years. Born in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Irvin and Laura (Bishop) Bartz. He worked for 22 years as a research assistant at the Schlitz Brewery in Milwaukee, and later worked as a supervisor at the Schaefer Brewery in Fogelsville. He also worked in the men’s suit department for J.C. Penney and the state liquor store, and was also a Boy Scout leader and volunteered for many organizations.

 

He is survived by his wife Sharon; daughters Jacqueline and Jennifer; son Jeffery and wife Diana; a sister Lynn Zimmerman and husband Ron; grandchildren Jhenniffer, Michael and Adam; a great grandson Ryland along with nieces, nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by his brothers Irvin, Rodger, Walter and Frederick.

 

Services: a memorial service will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels of the Lehigh Valley, www.mowglv.org.  Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
