Stephen A. Brosky, Sr.

Stephen A. Brosky Sr., 88 of Allentown PA passed away March 22 peacefully surrounded by the love of his family. Nancy, his loving wife of 67 years and high school sweetheart, was by his side and will miss him dearly. He was affectionately known to all who loved him as “Zedy”, “Zedro”, and “Pop”. He is survived by his children Mark (Patti), Pam (Sue), and Mike (Denise) and six grandchildren Kevin, Lauren, (Jacque) Alex (Mike), Megan (Mike) Hanna, Rebekah, and one great grandchild, Charlotte.

We are comforted to know that his mother, Mary and father, John Brosky, son, Steve Jr., sister Sis Hoffman and many other departed family and friends were at the heavenly gates waiting to welcome Steve to his new place of peace and comfort.

He was born in 1934 in Allentown, a place where he remained and raised his own family. Steve, a veteran of the army, became a mason and owner of his own business. He put himself through night school while he and his wife raised his family. He landed a position at Lehigh County Vocational Technical School as assistant principal. One of his greatest achievements was starting and coordinating the house projects with Lehigh County and eventually Bethlehem.

Steve enjoyed his retirement with his many hobbies of painting, wine making, house renovations for family and friends, polkas, and mostly spending time with family.

Services will be held graveside at the Saint Michael & Saint Andrew Byzantine Cemetery, Fullerton Lehigh County PA at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday March 29th. Flowers may be delivered to Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 Hamilton Street, Allentown by 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. www.AllentownFunerals.com.
