Eleftherios Vavladellis
06/18/2026
Eleftherios “Terry” S. Vavladellis, 95, passed away on June 18, 2026.
Born in Kalloni, Mytilini, Greece, he was the son of the late Simos and Kostantina Vavladellis. As the oldest of seven siblings, Eleftherios set an example of hard work, dedication, and love of family throughout his life.
Eleftherios proudly served in the Greek Army before marrying his beloved wife, Ismini, in 1958. Together, they built a devoted family and shared a remarkable life. In 1975, they emigrated to the United States with hopes of creating greater opportunities for their children and future generations.
Eleftherios began working at Dent Manufacturing shortly after arriving in America and remained there for more than 26 years. He took pride in his job and was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.
He loved tending to his garden and watching it flourish each year. He enjoyed sitting on his patio, visiting with family and friends, and hosting barbeques. He always had a sweet tooth for candy, and we will always smile and think of him whenever we see a Tootsie Roll.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Ismini; daughters, Dina (Pete) and Vicky (Andrew); son, Simos (Lisa); grandchildren, Maria (Chris), Kosta (Stefaniya), and Amanda; and eight great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Maritsa from Allentown, and Sarandos and Christos of Australia.
Though he never forgot his roots in Kalloni, he was grateful for the life he created in America and for the family that was his greatest blessing.
Services: Viewing will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem, followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, www.stnicholas.org/donate.
