Gaspare Messina, 78, of Bethlehem passed away July 10th at Cedarbrook, Fountain Hill. Born in Sicily, Italy, he was a son of the late Anthony Messina and Maria Vultaggio. He worked as a pizza chef for many years, including Giovanni’s Pizza in Quakertown and retiring from the former Attilio’s Restaurant and Pizzeria in the Crest Plaza Shopping Center. He was a veteran of Italy's military service.
He is survived by his son Anthony Messina of Bethlehem and daughter Maria and husband Bill Barney of Northampton; grandchildren Billy and Olivia Barney along with extended family.
Services: graveside prayer service at 12:00 noon Thursday, July 16th at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown. (Section "F")
