Silvia Evangelina Weber
10/15/2026
Silvia Evangelina Weber, age 84, of Allentown, formerly of Easton, entered into eternal rest on October 15, 2026. Born on October 6, 1942, in Colón, República de Panamá, at Colon Hospital, Silvia's life was a testament to faith, perseverance, compassion, and devotion to God, family, and community. Her kindness touched countless lives, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Silvia was the beloved daughter of Gabriel Constantine Thom and Mary Athena Hygea King Thom, who preceded her in death. She was a woman of unwavering faith, extraordinary compassion, and boundless generosity whose life was devoted to serving God, caring for others, and nurturing her family.
After becoming a United States citizen on June 28, 1971, Silvia embraced the opportunities of her adopted country and worked diligently to achieve her American dream. Through determination, perseverance, and hard work, she became a Registered Nurse and dedicated her career to caring for others. She retired from Easton Hospital as a Cardiac Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, where she compassionately guided patients and their families through some of life's most difficult moments. Silvia took great pride in her profession and was known for the skill, dignity, love, and empathy she brought to every patient under her care.
Above all else, Silvia's greatest joy was her family. She found deep fulfillment in raising her children, caring for her loved ones, and extending kindness to anyone in need. Whether spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or friends, she made everyone feel valued, cherished, and loved.
A devoted Christian whose faith was rooted in both her Catholic and Protestant traditions, Silvia's relationship with God remained the foundation of her life. When health and circumstances made attending church difficult, she transformed her home into a sanctuary of worship, prayer, and reflection. Her faith continued to grow stronger each day, and she believed that God's presence was not confined to a building but lived within the hearts of His people.
Silvia had a joyful spirit and a song for every occasion. She loved singing as a long-time member of the Musical Arts Choir and could often be heard singing around the house or on the phone with loved ones. Whether celebrating birthdays, graduations, weddings, births, holidays, or family reunions, she marked every special occasion with a handwritten card, an encouraging message, or a heartfelt song. She delighted in sharing Scripture, words of encouragement, and reminders of God's love through texts, phone calls, and voicemails.
Her love was expressed not only through words but through thoughtful acts of service. Silvia found great joy in helping others, selecting meaningful gifts for family and friends, crocheting treasured keepsakes, and making palm crosses each Easter to share with those she loved. She was happiest when giving of herself and brightening the lives of others.
Those who knew Silvia will always remember the warmth of her voice and the sincerity of her affection. She ended countless conversations with the words, "God bless you," followed by the person's name, leaving each individual feeling seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her legacy of faith, compassion, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Silvia was preceded in death by her parents, Gabriel Constantine Thom and Mary Athena Hygea King Thom, and her beloved sister, Margareth Thom.
She is survived by her loving sons, Michael Angelo Weber Sr., Mark Anthony Weber Sr., Sean Russell Weber, and Clearnce Weber III; her daughters-in-law, Londa, Terry Ann, Josefina, and Terry Lee; her cherished grandchildren, Michael Angelo Jr., Gabriel Marcus, Alyssa Taylor, Mark Anthony Jr., Matthew Antonio, Silvia Ysabel, Sean Russell II, William Justice, Miles Austin, Haley Addison and her partner Matthew, and Cainan Arris Weber and his wife, Julia.
She was also blessed with great-grandchildren Donovan, Finnick, Honest, and the first newborn great-granddaughter.
Silvia is further survived by her siblings, Walter Fernando Thom and his wife, Jinhee, Michael Miguel Delano Thom Sr., Charles Carlos Alfredo Thom Sr., Amelia Cecilia Thom, and Lydia Constancia Thom, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and multiple generations of great and great-great nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her love and generosity.
