Norma I. Eckert

Norma I. Eckert, 72, passed away Tuesday at Cedarbrook.  Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of Catherine (Keller) Schoeneberger and the late Edward Schoeneberger.  She was a knitting machine operator for many years at textile mills including Miller's Textile and Fairtex.  Norma loved to read, loved nature and vacationing in the mountains and really enjoyed her scratch-off tickets.


Survivors:  mother Catherine; son Steven Schoeneberger and wife Francine of Whitehall; daughter Louise Dengler and companion Glenn of Frackville; sister Bonita (Bonnie) of Northampton; brother Rodney of Whitehall; six grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Gerald and Edward Schoeneberger and sisters Susie O'Brien and Jane Fletcher. 
Services:  Viewing on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown and noon to 1:00 p.m. Friday followed by funeral service at 1:00 at the funeral home with Rev. Gene Smith officiating.  Directions at www.eliasfuneralhome.com.
