Lee Schaedler Overgaard
12/01/2013

Lee (Schaedler) Overgaard, 67, of Allentown, died Sunday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the companion of Jim Gallagher, also of Allentown.  Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Olga (Zukovsky) Schaedler.  She worked as a Registered Nurse for many years, most recently at Health Care Angels, Seniors Helping Seniors, Moravian Village, and Mary Ellen Convalescent Home (Hellertown).  She also worked at Gift Design Galleries at the Lehigh Valley Mall and Queens Health Food for some time.

Lee, also known as "Mimi", will be greatly missed. Her gentle, nurturing spirit touched so many in the community. She was an avid reader, caregiver to the geriatric community and lover of all things in nature; finding peace and happiness in gardening and in the feeding of her birds and squirrels. Her family, above all else, brought her true joy.

Survivors: Companion Jim; Daughter Kristen Escalante of Laguna Niguel, Ca., son Andrew Overgaard of Jacksonville, Ar., and twin daughters Alexis Lang of Allentown and Lara Overgaard of Easton; grandchildren Aidan, Jordynn, Sage, Mya, Aliyah and Jade.

Services: Private, at the family's convenience.  The family is being assisted by the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
