Russell J. Snyder

Russell J. Snyder, 78, of Wescosville, died July 4 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born in E. Stroudsburg, he was a son of the late Thomas and Julia (Papillon) Snyder. Russell worked in the Plumbing/Heating business. He was a longtime member of Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville, and Trinity Wesleyan Church in Allentown. Mr. Snyder was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors:  Wife Velma Snyder; step sons Richard, Dean and Dale Walck; six grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; niece and nephew. He was predeceased by a brother Richard.

Services:  funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Calling hour 10-11. Interment following at Franklin Heights Memorial Park, Weissport.
