Rafael Matos

Rafael Matos, 78, of Allentown, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2015. He was born in Coamo, Puerto Rico. He was the husband of Luz Maria Matos, devoted spouse of 59 years.


He is survived by his wife Luz, three children Janet and her husband Leonardos, Ralph and Eddie, his three brothers Crusito, Luis, Francisco and sister Marta Matos, his grandchildren Cassandra and her husband Jason Christman, Kosta, Natalya, Alaina and great grandchild Abigail, along with their extended family and friends.

Rafael worked for Lucent Technologies for over 30 years as a Layout Operator. He was a very active member of Sacred Heart Church and the Hispanic community.


A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, PA, 18102. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Church, 336 N. 4th St, Allentown, PA 18102. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Nicos C. Funeral Home.
